All members of the Blair County community and the Penn State Altoona campus community are cordially invited to attend the 18th Annual African American Read-In at Penn State Altoona Community Dinner Program, celebrating the 29th National African American Read-In Chain on Sunday, February 11, 2:30 – 5 p.m., Port-Sky Café, Penn State Altoona. This event is appropriate for all ages, open to the public, and free. A special program for children ages 5-13 will be offered.

Reading selections are encouraged (but not required) to relate to this year’s theme: African Diaspora Writers in the U.S. All readers will receive a commemorative t-shirt; all guests will be invited to choose a book to take home as our gift at the end of the event.
