Vision Statement:
ACCESS’s vision is to be the primary source for faculty, students, and community members or organizations wishing to connect with resources, expertise, and collaborative support. Through information sharing, workshops, and using a network of common interests, ACCESS will support faculty with their research needs and service interests, connect students with opportunities to broaden their education through experiential learning in the laboratory and in the community, and benefit local communities and businesses by leveraging Penn State intellectual and research capital to serve their needs.
ACCESS will be the source for faculty, students, and the community who wish to enhance, develop, or inform their own endeavors by accessing support, expertise, or resources.
Mission Statement:
ACCESS is dedicated to the creation and support of unique opportunities and partnerships between Penn State Abington students, faculty, and the community. ACCESS has multiple purposes to meet the needs of the three groups it aims to serve. One purpose of ACCESS is to provide engaged students and expert faculty with mutually beneficial partnerships with community organizations whom would benefit from such collaborations. A second purpose is to enhance the educational experience of students at Penn State Abington through additional resources, support, and opportunities on campus and in the community, as well as in both for profit and non-profit businesses. Finally, ACCESS aims to inform, bolster, and support Penn State Abington faculty in their pursuit of scholarly research and service.
