RESEARCH RESOURCES
Penn State Abington Participant Pool and other non-Student Participants
Often researchers and scholars need access to people to participate in their work. Penn State Abington has a dedicated pool of student research participants as well as access to a much larger network of people from around the globe who are able to participate in your research.
Qualtrics Survey Tool (this link requires PSU Log-in)
Penn State has access to Qualtrics, the industry standard in online surveys and data collection. The system can be used to conduct collect data in surveys, open ended questions, and even responses to images. The tool is incredibly diverse and easy to use, with people being able to launch basic surveys after an hour of online training or simply trial and error. Anything you can do on paper and pencil, Qualtrics can do, but Qualtrics can also do significantly more including randomize people to conditions of an experiment, play video and audio, conduct heat mapping for where people are moving their mouse on the screen, and other features.
Instrumentation and Materials (computer labs, heart rate monitoring, GPS, tablets, etc.)
Penn State Abington, in addition to multiple computer labs, has some computer space dedicated for research purposes. We also have access to heart rater monitors, accelerometers, GPS units, as well as a bank of tablet computers for field work.
