TRAVEL FUNDING
The Office of Undergraduate Education at University Park offers Undergraduate Research Conference Travel Support to any student who is traveling to a conference to present his or her own research or creative works with a faculty mentor. By utilizing matching funds from both the local campus and University Park, students can often receive up to $600 in travel support per academic year. To apply for this funding, the student should work with his or her faculty mentor in order to provide to University Park (1) a travel authorization form, (2) a letter of support from the mentor, and (3) signatures promising matching support from Abington College. For additional guidance, faculty mentors can contact ACCESS.
Penn State University’s Office of Global Program’s provides students with a range of options for studying abroad that can last from 1 week to 1 year overseas. To support those life changing opportunities, several travel grants and awards for students who wish to travel and study internationally are available. Students should work closely with the Office of Global Programs and faculty members to determine which funding sources are most appropriate for their situation.
