Week 7

Week 7

Now it is time to begin your work with students on your own advising roster. This is a very exciting time, as you now will be developing ongoing relationships with students, and sharing in their academic successes.

In week 7, you will have some new students assigned to your roster. You will continue to respond to wdadvising email messages and observe phone duty.

You will also meet with staff from other units that work very closely with our team: Admissions, Program Planning and Management and Mediation.

Engaging students with the Penn State experience through social media can be helpful.  You will learn about all the student communications, social media, blogs, midpoint and graduation motivator letters, student clubs, organizations, and events that help with that sense of connection.

You will complete the following online unit of training: Getting Students Involved.
