The history of modern Africa has some similarities with the history of the United States. The U.S. was a colony of a European power, so were all Africa countries with the exception of Ethiopia and Liberia.
Based on the information provided in the recent lectures and what you have already learned about the history of the colonial era in the U.S. history, write a short essay (blog) in which you compare and contrast the colonial experiences in the United States and Africa.
Reflect upon what the ideas of slavery and imperialism mean to you and these issues may or may not impact current events.
