Like to save the animals?

One of the many examples of pathos I have seen all over Facebook is the where people post horrible pictures of animals that have been cruelly beaten and along with the caption saying like this to stop animal cruelty. These posts are so annoying that I usually delete the person that posts these. People think that liking a post on Facebook is going to stop such a heinous act, but it is actually not doing anything. Their use of rhetoric is not persuasive at all. The people that post these are trying for people to like the status and a lot of people do because they feel bad ignoring it. Another post people will put with these awful pictures are if you ignore then you are supporting animal cruelty. They are trying to guilt people into liking a status that is not going to do anything. If these people, that post these pictures, care so much about animal cruelty then they need to be out helping at animal shelters not sitting on the computer and posting these pictures. I specifically remember one post, where there is a dog that had been tied to the back of a car and dragged down the road. I am not sure if this story is true, but I would imagine that it has happened at some point. I didn’t like the post because I knew that liking it would not help anything. I rescued my dog, who when we found was malnourished and these posts still anger me. I just feel like these people think that they are being helpful, when in reality they are doing absolutely nothing. Also, I am not going to post one of these pictures because they are heartbreaking to look at.
