I am a Ph.D. candidate at the Department of Management and Organization, Pennsylvania State University. I received my master degree in Organizational Behavior from London School of Economics and Political Science (2015) and my bachelor degree in Psychology and Statistics from Peking University (2014).

My research takes place at the intersection of behavioral ethics, voice, and diversity and social issues in organizations. I am particularly interested in strategies, effectiveness, and social consequences of voicing ethical issues in workplace. I build on multiple literatures (e.g., social influence, behavioral ethics, moral psychology, emotions, motivation) and employ a variety of methods (i.e., experiment, survey, qualitative) to study ethical voice in various forms (e.g., dissents in teams, reporting or confronting peer’s unethical behavior) and contexts (e.g., entrepreneurship team decision-making, gender and diversity advocacy).

My research on ethical voice has received multiple competitive grants from Smeal College of Business and my work has appeared in Journal of Applied Psychology, Business Ethics: an European ReviewAcademy of Management Proceedings, and Business and Society 360 book series. I am also one of the eight finalists in the 2019 INFORMS/Organization Science Dissertation Proposal Competition.

In studying ethical voice, I seek to offer practical insights for potential advocates who seek to make a positive impact and managers who seek to foster ethical cultures in organizations.

In addition to research, I also actively engage in teaching business ethics, helping students to raise their ethical awareness and enhance their ethical decision-making skills. In 2019, the Smeal College of Business recognized me with the RISE Above Graduate Student Award. This award is given each year to a Smeal graduate student to honor their deep commitment to integrity and ethical behavior in the classroom and/or the workplace. I has also been recognized by the Academy of Management with the Exemplar of Ethical Graduate Student Practice Award in 2019.
