Prior to this course, it is unlikely that you received more than a single grade on your end-of-semester term paper. This model provides no reward for improving your writing. We will correct that by giving you an opportunity to improve your writing through multiple edits, iteration, and public critique. There will be six steps in the process, each step deepening your argument and evidence:
- Pecha Kucha (5%)
- Five Theses (5%)
- Abstract Summary of 500 words (5%)
- Draft of 1000 words (5%)
- Presentation of writing (5%)
- Final writing of 1500 words (15%)
You will craft a contribution for one of the architecture periodicals explored and presented in the Audience Pecha Kucha. You will select a topic, craft a thesis, and pitch your article to the journal. Evaluation of your writing will be according to the Writing Evaluation Rubric.
