Ways to reduce these risks

  •  as you age do not stop going for annual testing. Testing should continue at their regular scheduled intervals. Continue to perform self breast exams
  • If you have a history or family history of breast cancer, you may need to undergo screening more readily. This will help to catch the cancer in an earlier stage.
  • Try weight reduction and eat a healthy balanced diet
  • eliminate alcohol consumption
  • gene testing to determine if you carry the BRCA1 or BRCA2 gene
