Clinical Breast Exam

A clinical breast exam is similar to a self breast exam, except that it is performed by a healthcare professional.

The person performing the exam with visually examine your breasts, looking for any abnormalities in appearance. Next, they will feel around your armpit and breast for any lumps.

All women should have a Clinical Breast Exam (CBE) during their yearly medical check up. This should begin around age 20 and should be done at least once every three years.
