[Activities] Online Dating Activity

Directions: In this activity students will utilize the online dating applications from the  online textbook. Students will create a survey with 10 questions for their peers to answer. Example questions include, favorite color, birthday month, eye color, and etc. The questionnaires can be created using Google Forms. After the Form is created students will answer their peer’s questionnaires. After the class has finished answering their peer’s questions students will analysis their findings.  Answer the questions below:

  7. How does this activity illustrate on a small scale how big data works with online dating?
  8. Do your findings suggest any potential matches between your peers based off of the data collected? Explain.
  9. Do you believe that a questionnaire could create successful relationships online? Explain.
