Hey folks. I strongly recommend that everyone check out the Academy Award nominated film, 13th, by director Ava DuVernay. The documentary focused on the U.S. prison boom and the criminalization of African Americans, and features insights from a broad range of historians, intellectuals, politicians, activists and everyday Americans. The screening will be spread out over two days (Wed & Thurs) in the Ostermayer Room, during Common Period.
