Li Wang

Li_WangDr. Wang is an Associate Professor in the Department of Public Health Sciences at Penn State College of Medicine. Her research focuses on health economics, health services research and health policy.

Dr. Wang has conducted applied health research in various disease areas including asthma, autism, cancer, infection, lupus and surgery. Her areas of research interests are cost-effectiveness analysis, health disparity, health insurance policy and outcomes research.  Apart from applied health research, she has also published theoretical papers on statistical/econometric methods. She has extensive experience with analyzing clinical trial data and insurance claims data such as Medicaid data and private insurance data. She has received research funding from the National Institute of Health and the Pennsylvania Department of Health.

Dr. Wang received her PhD in economics in 2008 and her MS in statistics in 2007 from the Pennsylvania State University. She has been working as a faculty member in the College of Medicine since her graduation in 2008.
