Graduate student positions
One opening is available for a MS student who will be working on thermal characterization and multi-physics modeling of next-generation vertical GaN electronics (diodes and transistors). Highly motivated PhD students may contact Dr. Choi for questions regarding research opportunities.
Semester and summer research opportunities for undergraduates
No opening available at this time. However, undergraduate students with exceptional GPA who are willing to write an undergraduate thesis or a scientific journal article out of their research activities may contact Dr. Choi. This will require at least 1.5 years of dedicated work.
Group members are expected to broaden their knowledge by taking courses / training in the following areas (after you join):
- Thermal science
- Electronic circuits
- Semiconductor device physics
- MEMS / microelectronics fabrication
- Solid state physics
- Material characterization
- COMSOL Multiphysics
- Sentaurus TCAD
Looking for highly qualified and passionate team players!
