Conductor Study Guide

Technical Information:

  1. The first clarinet part is hard because the student is above the break the entire time.
  2. Many fermatas in the piece
  3. Ensemble balance at 44 may be an issue because this is the first time the enitre ensemble is playing together.
  4. Accidentals found in the canon section at rehearsal number 25.
  5. For every instrument except percussion, endurance will be a problem
  6. Counting may be a problem with percussion because they have to sit quietly in rehearsal waiting for their time to play.
  7. Playing pick-ups instead of downbeats
