Spent way too much time yesterday and today finding the video settings for converting HD recordings on my media center (.WTV files) to MPEG-4 that the Pixel could display with sound. These are 1920×1080 and about 5GB for 90 minutes or so.

The MPEG-4 (not H264) encoding for file type .mp4 showed video ok, but no audio. Eventually found changing the audio setting from automatic to AAC is all that was needed.
