The College of Engineering’s Staff Advisory Committee (SAC) is now accepting nominations for the Fall 2018 Staff of the Semester Award, given to a qualifying member of the College of Engineering. The award is given once a semester (Spring, Summer, and Fall) and was established to recognize a staff member who exemplifies and has made strides in advancing the SAC mission of “facilitating communication, nurturing a spirit of community, increasing recognition opportunities for staff members, and promoting personal and professional growth.”
Nominees must be employed within the College of Engineering and be a full-time staff (full-time/approved reduced schedule under HR105) or technical service employee who has completed at least one year of service. Additional details and requirements can be found on the Staff of the Semester Award nomination form or online at sites.psu.edu/coesac/awards.
Anyone wishing to recognize an exemplary staff member within the College of Engineering may submit their completed nomination form to coestaffadvcommittee@engr.psu.edu. The award recipient will be selected by the executive officers of SAC and be announced prior to the end of each semester.
The deadline for Fall 2018 nominations is Friday, October 12. The award recipient will receive a $25 gift card and be acknowledged in the quarterly Staff Advisory Committee newsletter, as well as the annual College of Engineering Staff Award Ceremony in November.
