Maps

Maps are graphical representation used to depict relationship between elements of some space or to indicate any pattern of a data set. Data that reveals unknown patterns or conclusions can be mapped to find patterns. Using a map leads to a better interpretation and visualization of the results that are dependent on locations.

Choropleth maps are maps that shows shaded or patterned in proportion to the measurement of a statistical variable such as population density or per-capita income. Using a choropleth map is an easy way to visualize how a measurement varies across a geographic area within a region.
