Brief Bio: Robert Anderson is Chief of the Mortality Statistics Branch at the National Center for Health Statistics and directs the production and publication of US mortality statistics. His interests and expertise are in demographic methodology and mortality statistics. His research has focused primarily on changes in the International Classification of Diseases and how this affects cause of death statistics, changes in the reporting of sudden unexpected infant deaths, socioeconomic inequalities in mortality, and the quality of cause-of-death certification.
