Digi Digits has just been asked to model a new design, based on the needs of Guadalupe from New York. Guadalupe is a young girl who aspires to play the violin, but she was born without her Left hand. This is problematic, as the left hand is primarily used for fingering the strings of the violin. Digi Digits is planning on designing a bow adapter to allow her to hold a bow with her Left arm and play the violin with her Right arm. This design will be customized from a device originally created by Dr. Piazza from the Penn State Department of Kinesiology. Once the design is completed, the club will print a prototype to work out any last minute kinks. Then, we will open source the design for anyone who chooses to print their own!
