Call for Poster Session Proposals: “The Library as Knowledge Laboratory”
The Greater New York Chapter of the
Association of College and Research Libraries 2013 Symposium

The 2013 ACRL/NY Annual Symposium “The Library as Knowledge Laboratory” will explore the opportunities and challenges facing academic librarians in light of scholars’ increased demands for new formats, open-source tools, digital repositories, and innovative research methods in the new knowledge laboratory. ACRL/NY invites you to submit a poster session proposal for the 2013 Symposium.  Your poster session can address any issue related to this theme.  Examples include but are not limited to:

•       Transforming physical space
•       Service models
•       Scalability and/or Sustainability
•       Interaction between IT, faculty and librarians
•       New staffing needs and job titles
•       Re-skilling
•       Changing culture
•       Securing real estate
•       Assessment/Evaluation of programs and people
•       Connecting to teaching faculty
•       Promoting a program to library administration
•       Managing administrative expectations

The deadline for submission is Friday, September 13, 2013
Accepted posters will be notified by Monday, September 30, 2013.

The Symposium will take place on Friday, December 6, 2013 in New York City at:
The William and Anita Newman Vertical Campus Conference Center, Baruch College,
55 Lexington Avenue (at 24th Street) Room 14-220 (14th floor)
