What’s Scarier than Halloween? Climate Change!

On Wednesday October 31st, in line with the theme of ACTober,  Eco-Action protested Penn State’s dependency on fossil fuels outside of the HUB. They collected over 300 signatures from students, staff, and alumni in just a few hours, supporting a proposal to place an internal carbon tax. They helped to educate passerbys to create awareness of the plan. We were pleasantly surprised by the support and glad to answer the questions of those who were at first skeptical of the plan.

Eco Action plans to approach administration soon about putting this plan into action. We look forward to continue educating all community members about the importance of pricing and reducing our carbon emissions. You may add your signature here if you wish to sign our petition electronically.
