The Exercise Psychology Laboratory (EPL) is housed within the Department of Kinesiology in the College of Health and Human Development at the Penn State University Park campus. The EPL is a 1,000 square feet facility devoted to a conference area, computer/data analysis area, and student work area. The EPL is also in close proximity to the Penn State University Park General Clinical Research Center, Noll Physiology Laboratory, and the Center for Childhood Obesity Research.

The Healthy Mom Zone (HMZ) is housed within the Noll Laboratory. The HMZ research study aims to develop and test an individually-tailored “just in time” adaptive intervention to manage gestational weight gain in pregnancy. The intervention includes multiple components including the promotion of healthy eating, physical activity, and behavioral modification. Maintaining weight gain within the guidelines can help both moms and their babies to have an easier pregnancy and delivery.
