What We Do

Food Donations

Four times each week, the FRN collects and delivers unserved food from three campus dining halls, donating them to shelters, pantries, and other organizations in need.

Volunteering

We are committed to working alongside our partners to facilitate their distribution of our recovered meals. FRN relies on the commitment of its student volunteers to fulfill our mission.

awareness

Food waste and food insecurity can be difficult to observe. By acknowledging these issues and taking decisive action to resolve them, the FRN rallies the community behind a common effort.

Advocacy

Inspired by the Sustainable Development Goals established by the United Nations, and reinforced at Penn State, the FRN continually advocates for more responsible consumption of resources.

More than 14% of Penn State students, across all campuses, encounter food insecurity.
