Through the ball drop exercise, I started to learn about modeling and animating from the very beginning. I did not understand the fun of it until I actually made the ball move successfully.
At first my ball was dropping in a very strange path, and then I fixed the problem by changing its (x,y,z) by myself every 5 frames, which was in fact another evident of my lack of experience in maya, that I could have let the computer do most work for me and taken advantage of that.
Anyways the final effect looks not bad. Especially after taking professor’s advice, that to turn the view in a completely different way, it seems to be much more dramatic when the ball is dropping toward me instead of moving far away.
