Welcome back, students!
Visit us in our new location, 212 Student Enrichment Center (SEC). We’re open 8 am – 5 pm, Monday – Friday.
In addition to regular office appointments, we are starting new ‘Quick Question’ Drop-In Hours on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 11:30 am – 1:30 pm, beginning Tuesday, Sept. 6. No appointment is needed to meet for up to 15 minutes with a Career Services Staff member or student Career Peer. We can answer questions, or give a quick look to your resume, etc. Students with more lengthy needs will be set up with a regular appointment.
We have a full schedule of workshops and events coming up quickly this semester. Our first Resume Writing Workshop will be on Aug. 30 at 11: 30am with the location yet to be determined. Email us with your intention to attend (name, major, email, expected semester of graduation) and we will email you the building and room number. See our Calendar of Events on our home page for the full schedule of workshop topics.
Some big career events are also scheduled for early in the semester, specifically our Meet The Firms accounting networking event, Wed. Sept. 7 from 4- 6 pm in the Student Center, upstairs in the CUB. Events at University Park are open to all our students, including the IST/Pro Expo on Sept. 12, and Fall Career Days on Sept. 13, 14, 15 at the Bryce Jordan Center at University Park.
Our own campus’ Capital Region Intern Fair is already maxed out with over 90 employers coming to campus on Tues. Oct. 4 from 10am – 3 pm in the CUB GYM. Don’t miss these opportunities to connect with recruiters who are looking for candidates for their internships and full-time positions.
And don’t forget our on-line job board is open ALL the time for ALL students to use: the Nittany Lion Career Network. Log-in from our home page at http://harrisburg.psu.edu/career-services to post your resume and search for and apply to opportunities. Some employers will be doing their interviewing on campus, so be sure to sign on to your FREE account and get started now.
That’s just a brief taste of some of our events and workshops. You can email us anytime at ask4careeradvice@psu.edu, phone 717-948-6260, or stop by 212 SEC.
We look forward to meeting you!
