Labor Day has just passed–a day we celebrate workers of all kinds.
Now that you are back in class, have you thought about where you want to be working in the future? What kind of work you want to do? What skills you want to use doing that work? What will the work setting be, and who will be your colleagues?
These are just a few of the things you should be thinking about as you pursue your college education. The answers will impact what courses you take, what activities you participate in, who you hang out with, and whether or not you do an internship or get some other kind of work experience.
Don’t leave your career planning for the last week before graduation! It should be an on-going process throughout your college years. Whether you are a first-year student or a senior, committed to a major or undecided, Career Services is here to help you with these issues, as well as with the nuts and bolts skills like writing your resume, preparing for interviews, meeting employers at job fairs and much more!
We’re here for ALL majors, undergraduate and graduates students both.
Stop by our office to learn about our resources, or (preferred) call for an appointment to meet with us, phone 948-6260. You’ll be glad you did!
