About

what we do

The Healthy Bodies Project is an educational project and a research grant that provides opportunities for young children to learn about healthy foods, such as fruits and vegetables. Our goal is to increase children’s exposure to fruits and vegetables by introducing a new food each week in the classroom. Children will learn how each fruit or vegetable grows and why fruits and vegetables are good for them. In addition to teaching about fruits and vegetables, we have created several other preschool curricula that include fun games and activities designed to teach children healthy habits.  We also provide families with guidance on eating, cooking, and shopping in ways that improve dietary patterns and health overall for the entire family.

who we are

We are a team of passionate and dedicated nutrition experts, education specialists, and researchers from Penn State University. Together, we have developed educational curricula for preschool classrooms throughout rural Pennsylvania.
