Chicken Sliders

Healthier twist on a burger perfect for tailgating

Ingredients:​

  • 1 pound ground chicken breast​
  • 1 Tbsp black pepper​
  • 1 Tbsp garlic, minced​
  • 1 Tbsp balsamic vinegar​
  • ½ c onion, minced​
  • 1 jalapeno or poblano pepper, minced​
  • 1 Tbsp fennel seed, crushed​
  • Small whole wheat buns, lettuce leaves, sliced tomato & avocado for topping

Directions:​

  1. Mix first seven ingredients together and let set for 1 hour.​
  2. Form into 2 ounce patties.​
  3. Grill or broil in the oven until internal temperature reaches at least 165 F.​
  4. Serve on small whole wheat buns with lettuce, tomato and avocado as desired.​
