Stress Management

Free Yoga ClassesIt’s no surprise that college can be a stressful time for students.  Compared with high school, courses are more difficult and require more studying.  Your social calendar is busy with organizations and friends, and on top of it all, you’re living on your own and have a whole new list of responsibilities.  It’s no wonder 53.8% of  Penn State students reported feeling overwhelmed by all they had to do in the past 2 weeks (Source: Penn State University’s ACHA National College Health Assessment, Spring 2012).

Managing your stress doesn’t come easy for everyone.  In fact, many people control stress with relaxation techniques, including meditation, mindfulness, tai chi, and yoga.  Even something as simple as a walk outdoors or a pickup game with friends can be relaxing.

  2. Do you still offer the free Yoga for students at UP this Fall 2016? If so, how do they sign up and where are the classes held?
