A student organization at Penn State
The purpose of the Penn State Horticulture Club is to establish and develop a spirit of unity, friendship, and sociability among the students and faculty members of the Department of Plant Science, to stimulate greater student interest in Horticulture, and to keep the public informed of the opportunities as well as the increasing importance of Horticulture.
The Horticulture Club provides many opportunities throughout the semester for students to get involved with activities related to horticulture and plant science in addition to providing community service. Some of these events include the annual Hort Show, flower sales, and NCLC, which is a landscape professional competition.
The club is comprised of a diverse group of students from many different backgrounds and areas of study. Our club also has a strong relationship with faculty in the Plant Science Department as well as community members and local businesses. There are no requirements for your academic background and all are welcome to join!
