The purpose of this research is to find the most effective display shape families by using
a human-in-the-loop test bed. Previous 2006, 2007, and 2009 ASM results suggested
visualizations to support proactive monitoring and assessed the impact of proposed display
shapes (visual thesaurus) on operator situation awareness.

The objective of this project is to develop a human-in-the-loop test bed to facilitate
cognitive model building. The test bed is based on the Team Aegis Simulation Platform.
