Dear Christina

Your group, International Association of Business Communicators/The Pennsylvania State University (IABC/PSU), has been granted recognized status. In order to maintain this status, your organization will need to update officers whenever there are changes to your executive board (or at least one time per year if the entire board, including the advisor, remains intact for consecutive academic years). This information will be submitted to the Office of Student Activities via the eStudent Union.

As a recognized group, you are able to apply for use of University facilities, use of the University name and logo, and request funding through the University Park Allocation Committee (UPAC). Additionally, you must have an account in Associated Student Activities, where all of your organization’s financial business will be conducted. Your group will also be issued a communication file located at the HUB Information Desk. Your group is encouraged to check this frequently, as it is a means for frequent communication from various offices on campus.

As a reminder, all recognized student organizations must abide by Policies & Rules for Student Organizations (available at http://studentaffairs.psu.edu/hub/studentorgs/) This document contains important policy information and all information about additional rights and responsibilities as a recognized group.

Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact our office at (814) 863-4624.

Sincerely,

Jennifer Grossman Leopard
