While transformation isn’t about a tool, working in a single system of record is the key to alignment and transparency. The implementation team is configuring the out-of-the-box functionality to match the shared processes and procedures, but not actually customizing or developing in the traditional sense. This keeps the overhead of tool maintenance lower over time, as ServiceNow updates the baseline software.
