William D. “Don” Skinner ’79 is Director of Task Order & Business Development Departments, Jacobs Technology Inc. at NASA Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama.

Tiffany Bryant ’12, of Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, has been promoted to Technician II at P. Joseph Lehman Inc. Consulting Engineers.

Engagements

Katie Belis ’10, of Altoona, and Scott Lowry, of Westmont, Pennsylvania, are engaged to be married. An April 29 wedding is being planned at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bellwood.

Christopher Edmiston ’10 and Angel Magno, both of Gaithersburg, Maryland, are engaged to be married. A June 24 wedding is being planned in Annapolis.

Bryant Partner ’12 and Dr. Shannon Winstead, both formerly of Altoona, are engaged to be married. A fall wedding in Jamaica is being planned.

Beth Showalter ’07 and Erik Gore were united in marriage on October 15 at Memorial Church of the Brethren in Martinsburg, Pennsylvania.

Robert P. Broadwater, Bellwood, Pennsylvania, February 22, 2017. An accomplished author and historian, Broadwater attended Penn State Altoona from 1976-1978. In 2009, Broadwater was inducted into the Blair County Arts Hall of Fame for his contributions to the field of literary arts.

James M. Elder, Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania—February 16, 2017. Retired from Housing and Food Services at Penn State Altoona, U.S. Army World War II veteran.

Charles L. “Pete” Rollason, Jr. ’61, Carlisle, Pennsylvania—March 4, 2017—retired director of the Office of Children, Youth and Family Services for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, U.S. Navy Reserve veteran.

Charles “Bill” Hertzog, Jr. ’67, Birdsboro, Pennsylvania—December 4, 2016. Retired from Amtrak after forty-three years and U.S. Marine Corps Vietnam veteran.
