Welcome to the home of Penn State’s Undergraduate Literary Magazine, Kalliope, a print journal published each spring  by a dedicated staff of undergraduate students at Penn State University Park.

The club meets regularly throughout the fall and spring semesters, first to form a community, then to solicit submissions of fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and art, then to form committees that will read and select pieces to publish in the annual print journal in the spring. If you’re interested in submitting your work, check out the “Submissions tab.” If you’re interested in joining the club, see “How to Join.”

New in Fall 2016:

A class offered for the first time at University Park, ENGL 209: “Literary Magazine Practicum,” is developing an online sister to Kalliope, called Klio Online. Calls for submissions are open, and will roll throughout October to mid-November. Check out the new KLIO website!klio-logo
