Educator | Designer | Researcher
In my decade of work as an educator, learning designer, and leader of creative teams, I’ve cultivated a passion for design as a tool to improve both the effectiveness and the experience of teaching & learning at all levels. I am equally happy researching all the nooks and crannies of a new topic, designing a new learning resource, or facilitating a class, but the best part of my job is collaborating with a team to create learning experiences that help people gain new knowledge, skills, and experiences they can use as a foundation for personal growth and collective action to change things for the better in their workplaces, their classrooms, and their lives.
As a doctoral student, I’m interested in contributing to research that advances the cause of social justice in education, and I’m particularly excited to explore research opportunities at the intersection of education, the arts, and technology, including how we might conceptualize the arts & technology as tools of liberation.
