BOATS, BOATS, BOATS

Hello! I am happy to be back from this break I took from my Passion Blog! So this week, I’ll be talking about probably my favorite tv series ever (I know I might say that a lot, but I mean it this time). I’ll give you a hint,  the title is a line from the show. I’m gonna be honest, if you know what it is that is pretty legit. If you don’t, I’m talking about how i met your mother.

So, why is how i met you mother the best? First off, the characters and cast of the show is amazing. The basic rundown of the show revolves around the main character, Ted Mosby, and his quest to find his destined wife. He is an overthinking, romantically challenged guy who lives in New York City where he shares an apartment with his college roommate, Marshall Erikson, and his girlfriend, Lily Aldrin. Marshall and Lily are the definition of a perfect couple (like honestly, they are the best), and help Ted along his quest for love. Along the way he meets Barney Stinson who is a sex driven manic who only want to get Ted laid. The final member of the group is Robin Scherbatsky, a stereotypical Canadian who works as a news anchor in New York. She was also Ted’s first love interest in the pilot of the show. For over 9 years and 9 seasons, the gang grew up in the big city tackling love and many other wacky problems.

Alright, so basically there is not enough words to describe the show, so I’m going to talk about some of my favorite episodes, so…

SPOILER ALERT

I won’t talk about the final episode to ruin the entire show, but I will talk about Season 9 episode 16, “How Your Mother Met Me”.

So basically, this episode is a tangent from the main story of season nine and takes time to talk about Ted’s future wife, who is unnamed that this point so I’ll call her Stacy.

Starting with her 21st birthday. We get information that she is in a long term relationship at that point. Her boyfriend, Max appears to be a perfect match for her, and appears to be her soulmate, understanding all of her weird quirks and screwball antics. Max is late for her 21st birthday, causing Stacy to say he probably getting her a great birthday present, but then she gets a call saying that Max has passed away.

Although this seems abrupt, the way you can get attached to a character you have never met really shows how clever the writing is for this show.

The rest of the episode is about Stacy and her moving on from Max passing away, and highlights how great Ted and Stacy will be.

Again, I’m sorry for this sounding like rambles, but it is honest really hard for me to put down in words how much I love this show. No show has impacted me on an emotional level as much as this show and I highly suggest you watch it.
