About Me

Welcome to my page! I’m Lauren Chenarides.

Brief bio:

My research broadly focuses on food access issues and the food retailing environment across the U.S. My most recent research project uses micro-level scanner data to investigate aspects of consumer purchasing decisions and food retailer behavior by examining households’ store choice decisions and policies that might address problems associated with limited food access.

My graduate research has been generously supported by an Agriculture and Food Research Initiative National Institute of Food and Agriculture Fellowship.

Before graduate school, I worked as an Associate Consultant at Fidelity Investments, and received my B.A. in Mathematics from the College of the Holy Cross.

Research interests:

  • Consumer economics,
  • Food access issues, and
  • Food retailer marketing.
