The LionPATH Degree Audit Team has reached out to the College and requested a meeting to begin the process of validating our degree audits to ensure that they accurately reflect our approved curricula.
During this meeting the LP Degree Audit Team’s goals will be to provide an overview of the new LP audits, discuss the validation process and how we will relay any necessary corrections back to them, review upcoming steps in the process, and give us an opportunity to ask questions.
To date, the LP Degree Audit Team has met with 3 undergraduate Colleges and all have had different set-ups in terms of who they involved in these initial meetings. One College only involved a few advisers and Records Managers while the other two only involved faculty and staff. We will be asking each department to select individuals to represent you at this meeting and we will also be including advisers and records staff.
LP hopes to be able to have the validation process accomplished in 3-4 weeks but they are understanding of both the size of our College and the time of the semester that they are asking that this take place and realize that things may take a bit longer.
An email was sent out yesterday evening from Dean Taylor to all Undergraduate Directors with potential dates and times for this meeting with a request to send responses back to Jamie Brenner (jsm36@psu.edu) by April 25. This meeting and the subsequent process of validating the new audits will be your one opportunity to make sure that your major/s are accurately reflected on the new audits that students will be using beginning Fall 2016 so it is very important that your department is represented!
