Here is an update on enrollment for Fa16 and Sp17.
Because there is an enrollment overlap for the fall 2016 and spring 2017 semesters, we cannot set the program enrollment limits exactly as we did for the beginning of the fall semester enrollment. To adhere to university policy of not allowing students to enroll in over 19 credits until the first day of classes for spring 2017 and not allowing a student to drop their last class after classes begin for fall 2016, the set up will require overrides. This also includes the enrollment processed via the wait list. If students need to enroll in over 19 credit this fall (i.e. the 2nd seven week session), it will require an override. Students can contact the UP Registrar’s Office to add classes for fall semester. Per policy, students are not permitted to enroll in over 19 credits until the first day of classes, so overrides will not be processed for spring semester.
We also could not change the drop credit limit – this stayed at .5. We could not allow students to be able to drop all classes for fall semester, so this needed to remain at .5. This means that students will not be able to drop/cancel all classes for spring semester. Again, students should contact the UP Registrar’s Office to cancel all classes for spring semester.
