It is something most of us have notice or heard within our lifetime but I never took time to understand why it was like that. Talking about rice farming as the reason kind of blew my mind because I did know rice farming was hard to do but never made the connection. He then lucked into the opportunity to use the computers at the University Of Washington for hours on end. And so by the time he turned 20, he had spent well more than 10,000 hours as a programmer. Gates talent and drive were surely unusual……

English 202B has been a very challenging but exciting ride this semester. I have thoroughly enjoyed reading both Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell and Being Wrong by Kathryn Schulz. Each of these brilliant writers has created wonderful books that have made me dig deeper into what makes each of us the people we are. Malcolm raises the question, what makes success? Whereas Kathryn has us asking ourselves, what does being wrong mean to me? Two excellent reads!
Overall the past sixteen weeks have been great, hard to believe it is over. Can’t wait to see what is in store for the coming year.
