In celebration of Council of LionHearts endorsing Our Community Covenant, Penn State Rotaract hosted a face painting station for the America’s Day for Kids fair on South Allen on Saturday, Oct. 13. Families from the community were provided a day filled with pumpkin decorating, play structures, entertainment and even an alpaca.
This year’s celebration was centered on the ideals highlighted in Our Community Covenant which can be review using this link: http://www.ourcommunityday.org/
We had 4 artists working at our busiest point. Kids left with all kinds of creations on their cheeks, foreheads and hands like penguins, butterflies, airplanes, and whiskers. My personal favorite was the family of boys and girls alike who requested to become pirates, eye patches, beards and all.

Blake uses his graphic design skills to zombie-ify a really early trick-or-treater.
This day’s success is greatly attributable to Mayor Elizabeth Goreham, the talented staff of individuals at the Borough and the many community members and volunteers who worked so hard to ensure its integrity.
