Individual Goal Setting

Inspired by Council’s goal setting session, the Penn State Rotaract Club facilitated a personal goal setting activity at our first meeting.  We folded a piece of paper into thirds and wrote in the first column a couple of goals for our service and participation in club events for the semester.

The middle column is reserved for notes at the semester midpoint and the last column is to record whether our goals were met.  This activity was meant to focus our members and to allow them to realize their potential for service this semester.

Some examples of the goals are listed below.

This semester I will…

– Fund raise in an effort to bring a guest speaker from Dream Sponsors Inc. (Fiston Kahindo) to Penn State

– I want to donate blood for the first time.

– Go to as much of THON as I can stand, get it?

– Donate blood, TWICE!

– Procrastinate less.

– Not miss a meeting.

– Get to know the people in the club better.

– Find new service projects (like Challenge League) in the area.

– Go to Lifelink Lunches at least once every other week.

– Go to all of THON.

– Go to more Weekly Service Events.

– Go to Oaks at least 3 times.
