We’ve all had it happen: we take a week off, then can’t remember a password. Perhaps we change our password, then can’t remember EXACTLY how we changed it. Or maybe we just didn’t heed the password expiration emails quickly enough.
Regardless, the only way you used to be able to reset a forgotten or expired PSU Access account password was to visit a signature station on campus with your photo ID. This was the established process to protect you from identity theft. If you were away for the summer, it was a highly inconvenient solution. If you are on campus, this method still works.
The process has changed! Now, with a few minutes of preparation on your part, your Access account can be configured to allow you to reset your password online. Take a look at the screenshots below. You’ll need to know your current user ID and password to log into the site. Please note: this only works for your PSU Access account password. That account is the one you use for online Penn State services like email, ANGEL, and eLion.
