You may recognize some of these names, as many we’ve worked with as a club before!

Shark Angels

This company was founded by a group of women who were looking to correct the misunderstood apex predators, sharks in the media. Sharks are not mindless killing machines as programs like shark week might sometimes have you believe, so these angels are looking to spread the word that when taking precautionary measures that should be used with any possible animal encounter, sharks can be beautiful and majestic, instead of “scary and mean”.

Reef Save

East Coast, US

This amazing company is all about protecting the ocean from our favorite invasive specie, lionfish. They’ve come up with a very minimalist, no-weld fishnet perfect for capturing lionfish in a safe way. They need people to fill up their research expeditions so they can get a big enough boat for their research all while teaching about their trade. They also give the lionfish to local restaurants in order to be correctly prepared for human consumption so both the ocean, and the average diner can be safe. They are looking for volunteers, divers, and a team of researchers for their expeditions. Go to their website for further information.
