At Penn State’s Ag Progress Days (http://agsci.psu.edu/apd/about) Sara Barth & Travis Mason spoke to kids & their families about the different parts of the brain, what each area is really good at and why our brains are so important. They showed kids how to create their own brains out of play-dough and also helped kids create their own neurons out of pipe cleaners, beads, jingle bells & noodles. The kids enjoyed the activities and the parents loved that there were handouts for them to take home with information about each activity. Everyone had a great time and was excited about learning about the brain!!
