At the Centre County Grange Fair (http://www.grangefair.net/) Amanda Chennavasin and Arie Yoder spoke to people of all ages; young kids, teenagers, and adults about the research we are conducting in our lab. They handed out fliers describing our on-going research studies and also had materials and handouts to teach the kids about the different lobes of the brain and why neurons are so important. They showed kids how to create their own brains out of play-dough and also helped kids create their own neurons out of pipe cleaners, beads, jingle bells & noodles. It was a great day working the kids and teaching them about all the different exciting things our brains can do!!
