Agustey Mongia

Agustey is a senior Schreyer’s Honors Scholar at Penn State working towards a degree in Biomedical Engineering. Previously, he interned at the Cancer Institute at Hershey Medical Center, working on antibody targeting and diagnostic methods for melanoma. Agustey also spent time studying genomics and eukaryotic transcription regulation in the laboratory of Dr. Frank Pugh. Agustey’s work in the Medina Group centers of the design of novel antimicrobial peptides and discovery of synergistic combinations of peptides and clinically approved antibiotics.
